I suppose there are those out there who say "Ugh!" to organizing and others who say "Yay!" Regardless of whichever one you are, it is a necessity to successful scrapbooking. I guess I'm right in the middle of how I feel about it. I love it once it's done I suppose. I have accumulated a ridiculous amount of paper and embellishments and without any kind of system, getting started on a project seems impossible. I enlisted help from my mother to organize stickers and paper, etc. I highly suggest this! Asking a friend or family member to help with sorting will take time and possibly frustration off your shoulders! Who knows . . . if they don't scrapbook, they may want to after seeing all the fun stuff that goes into it! I use "very useful boxes" from Office Depot. They come in all sizes and the big ones fit 12x12 size paper. I use them for storage of various items and also I put all the items for the project I am currently working on so they all stay together. You can also buy good size bins at your local Target and Wal-Mart.
Getting all your various subjects organized will help you to see what you have, and then you can go right to the section you want an item from, rather than shuffling through a box! Trust me, if you don't organize, frustration will take over and quitting comes soon after! So do a little bit each day or enlist help and make an afternoon of it!
